Oh my goodness, it's great to be back doing floral!! It's one of the positive things about being back in my hometown! I mean, it's great being back in good old PG but the main reason we're here is to be close to my family while my other half is overseas, so being busy back at my old job of 3 1/2 years ago makes filling my time easy and fun.
I've been back at Sleepy Ridge for almost 3 months, so I've got a lot of portfolio updating to do! My first day back involved cake flowers...
and about a dozen of these beauties..
The next wedding we did was a little different, being that you don't see tons of pinecones in summer decor, but the line flowers had a fun woodland feel.
I love making bridesmaid bouquets!! And the champagne colored roses added a pretty touch to these...
This next wedding was so soft and romantic. With accents of pearls and candles on the tables, it was gorgeous!
The next wedding was affectionately called "The Hippie Wedding." Bright colors, with a flower power style. I wish I had be able to get a picture of the tie dye and Mexican blanket decor.
This fun piece was done for a photo backdrop. I really had fun doing this piece and I LOVE the ombre.
I love when brides have little touches that aren't always seen...the thistle in this wedding was my favorite! Probably because I had it in my wedding ;)
I also love floral that uses many different textures. This wedding used astilbe, babies breath, and seeded eucalyptus among others, for some gorgeous variety.
This next piece was especially fun for me to do. My grandparents recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and my grandpa asked me to do an arrangement to surprise my grandma! He even came down to pick up the flowers with me. It was so fun to surprise her and be part of such a big milestone for them and my family.
